Nation DT Sacco ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our mobile application, or engage with our services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from you in a variety of ways, including:

  • Personal Identification Information: Name, date of birth, gender, marital status, National ID/Passport number, KRA PIN.
  • Contact Information: Postal address, physical address, email address, and telephone numbers.
  • Financial Information: Bank account details, income details, transaction history, and credit history.
  • Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and other information from your device when you visit our website.
  • Biometric: Our app uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera technology (via Smile ID SDK) to verify liveness by detecting facial orientation and expressions. This data is processed on-device in real-time, and is not stored or shared

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To process your transactions and provide you with our financial products and services.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve our website, products, and services.
  • To communicate with you about promotions, events, and other news about products and services offered by us.
  • The collected face data via our APP “N-kash” is used solely for liveness detection. This process helps confirm that the selfie is being taken by a real, live person rather than a static image or video. This is a key part of our identity verification and anti-fraud measures. No other usage—such as advertising, profiling, or analytics—is performed using this data.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors who perform services for us or on our behalf.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition.

4. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain types of processing of your personal data.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
